Public Health Interest Group

The mission of the Public Health Interest Group is to improve awareness of and delivery of care to at-risk populations in the Emergency Department. Our members vary in levels of interest and expertise -- our meetings' attendees range from first-year medical students to department chairs and senior NIH-funded PhDs.

The goals of the Public Health Interest Group are to:

  • Develop 3-4 didactics for the 2014 Annual Meeting

  • Expand our membership's activities outside of the annual meeting

  • Continue to partner with outside organizations such as CDC, NIH, and ACEP to enhance public health evidence and resources for motivated emergency physicians

Board Liaison: Steven B. Bird, MD
