The mission of the Medical Quality Management Interest Group is to promote the development of a skills and knowledge base for faculty engaged in medical quality management, and to provide the ability for academic professionals involved in medical quality management an opportunity and forum for networking.
The objectives of the Interest Group are to:
- Submit articles for the SAEM newsletter and proposals for didactic topics for SAEM17
- Promote the inclusion of medical quality management research and education as scholarly activity within academic promotion and tenure criteria
- Provide an opportunity and forum for academic professionals involved in medical quality management to collaborate on projects and research within the field of emergency medicine
- Serve as a resource for those interested in learning, teaching, and performing research in medical quality management
