Bio

Dr Hansoti is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at John Hopkins University and Department of International Health at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Dr. Hansoti’s training began in the international setting with medical school at the University of Edinburgh and foundation training in London. She completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago (UoC) and fellowship at Johns Hopkins. Over the years she has maintained a deep-seated interest in international emergency medicine while working in clinical settings such as Liberia, India, Ghana, Jamaica, China, South Africa, Uganda and Nepal. Nationally and Internationally Dr. Hansoti holds several leadership position in professional committees, most recently she has taken on the role of president for the Global Emergency Medicine Academy (GEMA) at SAEM and Vice-Chair of Research for the International Federation of Emergency Medicine. Dr Hansoti’s primary research interest is evaluating emergency care and acute care interventions in low resource settings internationally.
