Hello MidAtlantic Region!
We are so excited to start this year as your RAMS Regional Ambassadors! We have put together a list of EMIG event ideas to help inspire some ideas for the upcoming year. If you have questions or additional ideas of what your EMIG has done in the past that you want to share, please use the reply all feature to create a discussion. We hope to open up communication and share ideas. If you are in need of a speaker on any of the following topics, please reach out and we can connect you with an expert from SAEM.
-
Suture workshop: Use your Sim center to practice suturing.
-
Airway workshop: practice intubation through your Sim center.
-
Pre-Clerkship lunch talks: match an EM talk to what you are learning about in pre-clerkship. If you are in your Cardiology block, have a faculty member or resident give a lecture on various cardiac pathologies in EM. This can be helpful because students wanting to study for the test will get time with the material as well as learning about EM
-
Wilderness Medicine: have a lunch talk about wilderness medicine and how to treat pathology from various critters in your area.
We are excited to start a discussion on this community group to share other EMIG event ideas with our region and look forward to hearing from you all!
We also hope to see you virtually at the "Meet the RAMS Board" webinar on September 27, from 2:00-3:00 pm CT! Hamza and I would absolutely love to answer questions about running for the RAMS Board and any other questions you have for us. Laura was at the "Meet the RAMS Board" last year and ended up running for RAMS and getting to be on the board! Hamza is the Immediate Past President of the RAMS Board! Learn more and register today!
Thank you,
Hamza Ijaz and Laura Barrera
