After a 36 year career in academic medicine as an alcohol/brain injury researcher, department chair, and senior associate dean for faculty I moved to a new phase in 2024 and now serve as a coach and consultant - Brian J. Zink Coaching and Consulting, LLC. I coach academic leaders in emergency medicine and other fields and provide consultation for departments in mission and vision creation and strategic planning. As the founder of the AACEM Chair Development Program, I continue to serve as the Co-Director of this leader development program.
