Bio

Dr. Paxton received his undergraduate degree (BA) from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in 1998. He received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree (2004) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree (2005) from the University of Cincinnati. He completed his Residency in Emergency Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital (Detroit, MI) in 2011. Since residency graduation, he has worked as a emergency medicine physician at Detroit Medical Center (DMC), including Harper University Hospital (HUH), Sinai-Grace Hospital (SGH) and Detroit Receiving Hospital (DRH) emergency departments. 

Dr. Paxton began his involvement in clinical research during residency, and has been Principal Investigator of many privately- and publicly-funded research protocols. His areas of research focus include medical errors, emergent vascular access, cardiac arrest, and resuscitation.
